Born in Somerset County Sept. 18, 1909, a son of John and Alice Burroughs Younkin. Preceded in death by parents and three brothers: Russell, Jesse and Carl. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth Heiple, and these brothers and sisters: Martin of Casselman; Melvin of Jenners, Hilbert of Markleton RD 1; Orvile of Friedens; Mrs. Zelda Sanner of Markleton RD 1 and Mrs. Agnes Kimmel and Mrs. Irma Brant, both of Ravenna, Ohio. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of Teamsters Local 377, Youngstown, Ohio. He was last employed by Interstate Truck Service of Wheeling, W.Va. Friends are being received at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Clifford Wicks officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
