Younkin, 95, formerly of Grantsville, Md. and Akron, Ohio, died Aug. 30, 1981 in Goodwill Mennonite Home. Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late William C. Cochrane and Ida C. (Fogle) Cochrane, Her husband, James R. Younkin, died in 1932. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Akron, and was a volunteer employee of Goodwill Industries. She was also a former dietary department employee at Akron City Hospital. She is survived by four sons, William C. Younkin and John A. Younkin, both of Akron; Harold E. Younkin, Malin, Ore.; Robert J. Younkin, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two daughters. Miss M. Evelyn Younkin, Grantsville; Mrs. Charlotte McDermott, Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Laverne Carter, Phoenix, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Graveside services were conducted in Grantsville Cemetery with the Rev. K. Almond officiating. The Republic, September 3, 1981
