EMMA S. YOUNKIN

  Mrs. Emma S. Younkin, 82 years old, of Confluence, died at 2:30 o'clock 
Tuesday afternoon, March 27, at the home of her daughter, in South 
Connellsville.  She was born near Listonburg, a daughter of the late Josiah J. 
and Sarah Jane Ringer.
  Surviving are her husband, Colwell S. Younkin, for many years County surveyor 
of Somerset County; a son, Ernest L., at home, and a daughter, Mrs. W. S. 
Lincoln of South Connellsville, at whose home she passed away.  There are three 
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother, Rev. J. J. Ringer and a 
sister, Mrs. T. R. Christy, both of Friendship, Md.  
  The body was removed to the Charles Humbert Funeral Home at Confluence, where 
the funeral service was held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning.  Interment in the 
Jersey Church Cemetery near Confluence.
