Born Dec. 29, 1924, in Somerset County, the son of Ross and Myrtle (Goller) Younkin. Preceded in death by wife, the former Olive Grace Nicholson, who died July 14, 1994, and one brother, James 'Bud' Younkin. Survived by children Mrs. William L. (Sandra L.) Gross of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. James A. (Lori A.) Ringers of Pickerington, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Kerry L. Gross, Emily G. Ringers and Aaron M. Ringers; brother Evelyn Fisher of Beaver Falls; and 3 nephews. Retired from the White-Bagley Oil Company. Member of First Christian Church, Somerset, American Legion and VFW Post 3716 of Baltimore, Ohio. A 1942 graduate of Somerset High School. World War II and Korean Conflict veteran of the U.S. Army. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, Pickerington, Ohio, and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 8 p.m., Thursday. Pastor Daniel F.
