Younkin, 50, of Shady Hollow Road, Somerset, died Oct. 14, 1997, at his home. Born Sept. 13, 1947, in Markleton, son of the late Lester Younkin and Iretha (Cameron) Younkin of Markleysburg, who survives. Also survived by three children: James S. Younkin, Cynthia Ann and Tracey Rena, all of Normalville. Two grandchildren, Britney Eilene and Kayla Rae. A brother of Charles H. Younkin of Fort Hill, Mrs. Sydney (Betty) McClintock of Confluence, Mrs. John (Frances) Kuna of Somerset, and Rex Younkin of Hagerstown, Md. A Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. Attended the Berlin Brethren Church. Employed by Somerset County MH/MR. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Bryan Karchner officiating. Interment, Kingwood IOOF cemetery. Daily American, October 20, 1997
