Mr. Younkin was a native of Lower Turkeyfoot, where he resided all his life. He was a highly respected citizen. Fifty years ago he was married to Ada King who, with six sons and two daughters, survive. One daughter died some years ago. The children are: Harry and Grant, Connellsville; Cyrus, of Nanty Glo; Paul, Chester and Walter, at home; Mrs. Willis McCuthy, Ursina, and Mrs. Cecil Hiles, Confluence. Twenty-two grandchildren and two sisters are left. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Jersey church, which was largely attended, and were conducted by Rev. Dumann, pastor of the Nazarine church. Interment in the New Jersey cemetery. Charles Humbert, funeral director. Meyersdale Republican, June 27, 1940
