  Katherine B. Younkin, 73, of Ursina, died March 1, 1997, at her home, Born
  July 28, 1923, in Friendsville, Md., daughter of the late Orville and Elma
  (Fike) Friend. Preceded in death by husbands, Jackson Casteel, and Joseph E.
  Younkin Jr. Also a stepfather, Carl VanSickle, and several brothers and
  sisters. Surviving are three sons: Thomas E. Casteel, Gerald E. Younkin and
  his wife, Margie, and Kenneth B. Younkin and his wife, Ila, all of Ursina,
  and a daughter, Mary Younkin Beeman and her husband, Eddie, Listonburg: also
  13 grandchildren, one step-grandson; three great-grandchildren; two brothers,
  Orville Friend, Hagerstown, Md., and Gerald D. Friend, of Monaca, and sister,
  Joy Friend, Friendsville, Friend of the Confluence Church of the Nazarene and
  also attended the Pentecostal Church of Friendsville, Friends will be received
  from 2 until 9 p.m. today at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where
  services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. with the Rev. Thomas Charles
  officiating. Interment, Ursina Cemetery.
