  YOUNKIN
  
  Matthew M. Younkin, 83, Markleton RD 1, died Feb. 5, 1980, at Somerset
  Community Hospital. Born May 14, 1896, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, he was a
  son of the late Wesley and Mary (Kreger) Younkin. Also preceded in death by
  wife, the former Ruth Berkey; and daughter, Mary Younkin Vernon. Survived by
  son-in-law, James Vernon, Racine, Wisc.; step-daughter, Faye, wife of William
  Morin, Vienna, Va.; and these grandchildren: Jamie and Merry Ann Vernon, both
  of Denver, Colo., and Becky and John M. Vernon, both of Racine, Wisc. Member
  of Kingwood Church of God and a former school teacher, lumberman and farmer.
  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home,
  where services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul
  Tobias officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
