  Melvin H. Younkin, 77, Somerset RD 7, formerly of Jenners, died June 19,
  1979, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 3, 1901, in Somerset County,
  son of John F. and Alice R. (Burroughs) Younkin. Preceded in death by parents
  and nine brothers. Survived by widow, the former Viola F. Rupp; and these
  children: Wayne, married to the former Marjorie Huffman, Buffalo, N.Y.;
  LaVerne, wife of Oran Singo, North Tonawanda, N.Y.; and Phyllis, wife of
  Steve Benedict, Lakeland, Fla. Six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
  Brother of Mrs. Zelda Sanner, and Hilbert, both of Kingwood, Pa.; Mrs. Agnes
  Kimmel, DeLand, Fla.; Mrs. Erma Brant, Bakersville; and Orville, Friedens.
  Member Jenners Brethren Church, and Local 1742 UM-WA. Celebrated 55th wedding
  anniversary March 15, 1979. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St.,
  Boswell, where services will be held 11 am. Friday, the Rev. Max DeArmey
  officiating. Interment I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kingwood.
