Bom July 25, 1935, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County. Son of the late James Arthur and Mahala Elizabeth (King) Younkin. Also preceded in death by sister, Sara K. May. Survived by wife, the former Carol Lee Devan, whom he married Dec. 18, 1959, and these children: Timothy R. Younkin, married to the former Sandra Weigle, Ft. Hood, Texas; Ms. Marla J. Enos, Champion RD 1, and David W. Younkin and Bethany D. Younkin, both of Somerset; grandchildren: Tonya, Trista and Kayla Younkin, Becky Enos and Andrew Raley. Brother of Charles E. Younkin, Connellsville; Robert S. Younkin, Lakeland, Fla.; Paul E. Younkin, Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Martha Knopsnyder, Somerset; Mrs. Ruth Tressler, Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Mary Jane Pugh, Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Merryman, Confluence RD 3. Employed as a mechanic at the Somerset Mall Exxon Station. Member of Veterans of U.S. Air Force, Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. James R.
