Yutzy, 83, of 39 Oak Street, Md., a former world-ranked welterweight boxer, died Monday, March 10, 1986, at his home. Born May 2, 1902 in Garrett, he was a son of the late William Yutzy and Louise (Romesburg) Yutzy. He was a retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad boilermaker helper. A charter member of the Has Beens, Inc., he was a professional boxer for 10 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Boilermakers of America. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith F. (Minerd) Yutzy; one son, James H. Yutzy, Cumberland, Md.; two daughters: Mrs. Peggy J. Grimes, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Betty M. Wheeler, Frederick, Md.; one brother, William Yutzy, Boynton; one sister, Mrs. Floss Crissell, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services were conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Frank Trozzo. Interment, Davis Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Goss, Donald Deiser, Edgar Tucker, Gene Kelly, Randy Shreves and Emmett Bittner. Honorary pallbearers, members of Has Beens, Inc., were Howard (Red) Bush, Presley (Red) Mauk and Robert (Bob) Shrout. The Republic, March 20, 1986
