YUTZY Last rites for S/Sgt Kenneth J. Yutzy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman R. Yutzy of Meyersdale R.D. 3, were held Sunday, August 8, at 4:30 p.m. in the Somerset Memorial Park. The Norman W. Yutzy Post No. 861, American Legion of Garrett conducted the military rites. Pallbearers were veterans - brothers Theodore, George and Ray Yutzy, brothers-in-law William Bell and James Davis, and nephew James R. Bell, Pfc. in the Air Force. Rev. L. J. Kaufman of Rockwood and Rev. J. F. Messinger of Somerset officiated. S/Sgt Yutzy was killed in action February 2, 1944, at Anzio Beachhead in Italy. His brother, S/Sgt Norman Yutzy was killed in action May 20, 1943. Kenneth is survived by his parents, four sisters and four brothers, three above mentioned and Hurbert, stationed with the Army in Germany for the last 26 months, and now enroute home, according to a telegram received by the Red Cross at Somerset.
