He had been in the hospital since August 12th. He was born on Sept. 28, 1894, a son of the late William Yutzy and Mrs. Louise (Romesberg) Yutzy. He is survived by his mother, his wife, Mrs. Alma (Baker) Yutzy, and eight children - Master Sergeant Scott, with the Army in France; Cpl. S. James, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Anita Babb, Frederick, Md.; Miss Marian Yutzy, Pittsburgh, and Geraldine, Doris, Beryle and Branda, all at home. Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters - Mrs. Emma Adams, Creekside, Pa.; Mrs. Christina Hammer, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Lawrence Eyler, Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Lottie Hinkle, Uniontown; William and Henry Yutzy, Cumberland, Md.; Calvin, in the U.S. Navy, and Frank and Leroy, both of Garrett. Funeral services were conducted in the Reformed Church, Garrett, at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon by Rev. F. D. Witmer. Interment in the Garrett Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. Members of the Meyersdale American Legion acted as pallbearers. Meyersdale Republican, August 23, 1945
