Yutzy, 86, Springs, died Jan. 2, 2007, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md. Born April 11, 1920, in Garrett, the son of the late Samuel and Eleanor (Baker) Yutzy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilse G. (Wiemert) Yutzy, Dec. 3, 2000; one brother and one sister. He is survived by three sons, Rudolph R. Yutzy, Fayetteville, N.C.; Scott P. Yutzy and Robert A. Yutzy, both of Springs; two daughters, Trudy I. Hutzel, Salisbury, and Heidi M. Rounds, Frostburg, Md.; six grandchildren, Heidi Parker, Jodi Stein, Shawn Hutzel, Jessi Davis, Rodney Rounds and Lane Rounds; and four great-grandchildren, Cortney, Anika and Jordan Stein and Brittany Parker. Mr. Yutzy was a retired chief warrant officer with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Marion, Ill. Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Ansar Shrine, Springfield, Ill. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, a member of the Salisbury American Legion and VFW. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment Springs Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be accorded by Salisbury American Legion. Meyersdale Lodge 554, F&AM will hold a Masonic memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
