Yutzy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen G. Yutzy of Pocahontas, died on Saturday, February 8th, at 10 p.m., at the age of 16 years, 7 months and 4 days. He had just recovered from an attack of diphtheria which left his heart in bad condition and caused his death. He had been working for the last few years in the clay mines and was the sole support of his parents and their family, due to his father being a cripple for some time. He was buried, Tuesday, February 11th, in the Greenville Cemetery, by Undertaker W. C. Price, at 2 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger of Berlin. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters and three brothers, all younger than the deceased. Meyersdale Republican, February 13, 1930 --- WILBUR R. YUTZY Wilbur R. Yutzy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen G. Yutzy, of Pocahontas, died on Saturday at 10 p.m., February 8th, at the age of 16 years, 7 months and 4 days. He had just recovered from an attack of diphtheria, which left his heart in a weak condition, thereby causing his very sudden death. He graduated from the common schools of Greenville Township in the spring of 1929, and was a very bright and amiable boy. He was the youngest of the family, and is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Robert, of Akron, Ohio; Earle, at home; Melvin, of Sand Patch, R.D. 1; Mrs. Lawrence Snyder, of Sand Patch, R.D. 1; Edna, of Berlin, and Mabel, at home. A brief funeral service was conducted on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the home by Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger of St. Mark's Reformed Church; interment in Greenville Cemetery, in charge of W. C. Price of Meyersdale. A memorial service will be held at a later date on account of the contagious malady that caused the death of the lad. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1930
