Born Jan. 1, 1914 in Jenners, he was a son of Lawrence and Caroline (Gembalik) Zablotney. Preceded in death by parents; one son, Walter James (Jimmy), who died March 2, 1975; a sister, Anna Wiencek; and brother, John. Survived by widow, the former Edna Roy; and two daughters, Joanna, wife of Donald Livingston, Boswell RD 2; and Patricia, Boswell; and seven grandchildren. Brother of Stanley, Frank, Joseph, and Mrs. Julia Fisher, all of Boswell. Retired miner and co-owner of the former Z.P. Coal Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the European theater of war. Member of Boswell American Legion Post 461. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Graveside military service by the Boswell American Legion.
