Born July 25, 1898, in Old Forge, Pa., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Krystynick. Preceded in death by parents, first husband, Stanley Nosal who died in 1928; second husband, Frank Zabo who died in 1957; and a son Edward who died in 1926. Survived by these children: Josephine, widow of Michael Holoka; Wanda, wife of Michael Phillips; Willard, married to the former Emma June Nicolli; Helen, wife of Bernard Runtz; and Frances, wife of Joseph Badaczewski, all of Jerome; Walter, married to the former Ruth Bittner, Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and Stella, wife of Paul Smith, Butler RD 3; also 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Was a resident of Jerome since 1917. She and her first husband operated a grocery store in Jerome for many years. In 1933 she and her second husband started Zabo's Tavern which she operated until the time of her death. Member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Jerome, honorary member of Altar Society, Jerome American Legion Auxiliary, Jerome Fire Company Auxiliary, Somerset County Tavern Association, SNPJ Lodge 524, Jerome, and Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. Friends received from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday and from noon until 10 p.m. Sunday at the late residence in Jerome where Rosary and Wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christine burial 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church, Jerome, with the Rev. Conrad Miller, OFM-Conv., officiating. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome. Arrangements in charge of Joseph H.
