Zanoni, 89, Third Street, Quecreek, died Nov. 8, 2004, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 13, 1915, in Ralphton, son of Guerino and Amelia (Marchi) Zanoni. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Josephine Cubranich, Mary Shroyer and Hazel Cornell and brother, Geno. Survived by wife of 66 years, the former Julia M. Dorusha; daughter, Mary Jane, widow of Joseph Beck, Central City; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nora, married to Edward Graziani, South Fork, and numerous nieces and nephews. Longtime active and loyal member of All Saints Parish, where he served as usher at the former St. John's Catholic Church, now All Saints Chapel, Acosta, for more than 60 years, and where, along with wife, Julia, helped with the construction of the rectory. Also a member of Robinson Local 1257, UMWA; Jenner Rod & Gun Club and Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association. Former pitcher for Somerset County Baseball League and an area coal miner with approximately 48 years of service. Avid hunter and fisherman, having fished with his daughter and hunted within the last several weeks. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
