  Alverna Louella Zarefoss, 86, of Somerset RD 7, formerly of Friedens RD 2, died 
  May 25, 1996, at Somerset Hospital.  Born April 2, 1910, in Somerset Township, 
  daughter of Francis E. and Mable Mae (Will) Burk.  Preceded in death by parents; 
  two sons: James D. and Eldon D. Zarefoss; three brothers: Nevin, Charles and 
  William Burk. Survived by husband, Calvin Theodore Zarefoss Sr., to whom she was 
  married for 66 years; these children:  Mrs. Violet Jean Bosley, Greensburg; Mrs. 
  Robert E. (Alice) Bosley, Jeannette; Mrs. Charlotte E. Evans, Greensburg; Mrs. 
  William J. (Shirley) Trent, Friedens RD 2; Calvin T. Zarefoss Jr., married to 
  the former Bessie Weyand, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Burton L. (Lois) Holt, Somerset RD 
  7; also 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-
  granddaughters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (today) 
  Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 
  1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Bishop Irvin J. Knieriem officiating.  Interment, 
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
