Born Feb. 16, 1921 in Hooversville, son of Joseph and Anna (Matse) Zborovancik. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, John, George and Frank Zborovancik. Survived by wife, Josephine (Soblesky), with whom would have celebrated 55 years of marriage in August; and these daughters, Valerie, wife of Ed Korzi and Jeanie, both of Windber; and grandson, Kristopher Korzi. Brother of Susan Hudak, Windber, Ann, wife of Andrew Ferko of Central City, Matilda Potochar, Indian Lake, Paul and wife Carol, Hooversville, Steve and wife, Shirl, Jerome, Margaret, wife of Andrew Matey of Hooversville, Josephine, wife of Tom Kounas of Mechanicsburg, Mike and wife Helen, Stoystown, Barbara, wife of Lloyd Manges, Hollsopple. Also survived by sisters-in-law; Ida Zborovancik, Central City, Stella Mrozowski, Cairnbrook and Blance Olbrys of New York. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown, car shop. A member of the VFW and American Legion, Windber Polish Club and Polish Falcons. Also a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where Joseph was a member of the Holy Name Society. Joseph was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center, Windber, American Legion and many church functions. He was a long time Steelers and Pirates fan and was an avid follower of Windber Ramblers sports, where his grandson, Kris participates. Joe enjoyed polka music and loved being around family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. and where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. The very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek V.F.
