    Martha C. Zerby, 67, Brandle St. Johnstown, died Oct. 5, 1989, at Presbyterian 
  University Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Johnstown, Pa., 
  daughter of the late J. Wayne and Katherine (Geiser) Thompson.  Survived by 
  husband Robert J. Zerby II and by these sons: Dr. Robert J. Zerby III, married 
  to former Donna Parks, Crystal River, Fla.; Jack W. Zerby, M.Ed., married to 
  former Ann Whyte, Hollidaysburg, Pa.; Jeffrey C. Zerby, M.D., married to former 
  Denise Byroade, Reading, Pa.; also eight grandchildren: Robert J. Zerby IV, 
  Jeffery C. Zerby II, Rhiannon L. Zerby, Nicholas M. Zerby, Jack W. Zerby II, 
  Kayla M. Zerby, Rachael L. Zerby, Cristina E. Zerby.  Sister of Jack Thompson 
  Jr., married to former Lucille Distefano, Johnstown.  A graduate of Conemaugh 
  Valley Memorial School of Nursing; registered nurse in Pa., Md and W. Va.; 
  worked for the American Red Cross Mobile Unit for 15 years.  Member of National 
  Association of Registered Nurses, Pa. Registered Nurses Association and C.V.M.H 
  Nurses Alumni Association.  Also member of American Red Cross Retirees and Mt. 
  Calvary Lutheran Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, 
  with the Rev. Ronald B. Reed officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.  
  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the R. Owen Ketterer Funeral 
  Home in Geistown.  Family suggest that in lieu of flowers donations be made to 
  the American Cancer Society or Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund.
