L. Emogene Zerfoss, 72, Coleman Station Road, Friedens, died Aug. 26, 2008, at 
The Patriot. Born May 8, 1936, in Somerset, daughter of Harold and Lula (Stahl) 
Fisher. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Fred D.; sisters, Emily Fisher 
and Goldie Shaffer; and two infant brothers, Samuel and Wilbur. Survived by son, 
David, Friedens, and his friend Denice; sister of, Richard Fisher, married to 
the former Janet Darr, Somerset; Nora Close, Somerset; James Fisher, married to 
the former Nancy Ream, Jennerstown; Genevieve Hoffman, Berlin; Doris, married to 
Cecil Friese, Chambersburg; Harold Fisher, married to the former Dorothy 
Duppstadt, Somerset; and Eldon Fisher, married to the former Elaine Shafer, 
Connellsville. She was a member of New Centerville Church of God. Family will 
receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, 
Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Timothy E. 
Show officiating. Interment Mizpah Cemetery.
