Born Aug. 7, 1919, in Jersey Shore, a son of Raymond Walter and Maude (Devine) Zettle. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former Arlene Margaret Stoneburner who died Dec. 2, 1982. Survived by second wife, Margaret Mary Rose (Morris) Montgomery- Zettle to whom he was married 20 years; daughter, Mrs. Joseph B. (Linda R.) Rickert of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; stepchildren: Mrs. Margaret Montgomery, married to James Buterbaugh of Somerset, Mr Lawrence R. Montgomery of Ocean City, N.J. and Mr Daniel Montgomery and wife Rosa of Cincinnati, Ohio; 10 step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. A 1934 graduate of William Penn High School in York. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired with the U.S. Postal Service where he worked in transportation. Attended St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church in Somerset. He and his second wife, Margaret, were well known as the Bay Ave. walking couple for 20 years. No viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held as part of the regular Mass 11 am. Sunday at St. Francis in the Fields Church with Rev. Father J. Mark Zimmerman officiating. Arrangements by the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. The Daily American
