  Leora S. Zimmerman, 87, Johnstown RD 4, formerly of Somerset, died Nov. 28, 
  1987, in Latrobe Hospital.  Born March 20, 1900, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, 
  daughter of the late Charles Walter and Etta S. (Younkin) Snyder.  Preceded in 
  death by husband Nathan Zimmerman; two brothers: Russell and Frank; and two 
  sisters: Minnie Whatley and Florence Hogan.  Survived by these children:  Dr. 
  Donald N. married to the former Dr. Deanna Nelson, Morton Grove, Ill.;  Patricia 
  A., widow of John H. Irwin, Johnstown RD 4; Joy D., wife of David Mankey, 
  Glenshaw, Pa.; and Yvonne R., wife of Harry E. Bowman, Sarasota, Fla.;  five 
  grandchildren: Alfred F. Logan III, Richard Nathan Bowman, Heather and Nathan 
  Zimmerman and Angie Adams.  Sister of: Raymond A. Snyder, Confluence; and Mrs. 
  Hazel Zimmerman, Somerset RD 4.  Former employee of Somerset Hospital  Gift 
  Shop.  Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset Community Hospital 
  Auxiliary.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral 
  Home, where private funeral service will be held Wednesday, with the Rev. Harry 
  C. Sherry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Family 
  suggests memorial contributions to Calvary United Methodist Church, or the Mary 
  S. Biesecker Public Library.
