Zimmerman, died Tuesday morning, Mar. 3, at 3:30 at her home, one-half mile north of Somerset. Death was attributed to the infirmities of age and heart failure. Mrs. Zimmerman, the daughter of Samuel and Sally Shaffer Snyder, was born in Friedens, May 14, 1860. She was united in marriage with Daniel B. Zimmerman, March 25, 1886. Two children were born to their union, Ralph, well known coal operator, who died October 14, 1940, and Sally, who resided with her mother. Mr. Zimmerman passed away June 8, 1928. In the latter part of the nineteenth century the Zimmermans moved to Somerset borough and for many years resided on East Union Street. In 1917 they moved with their son and daughter to the beautiful new home, north of Somerset. Throughout her long and useful life Mrs. Zimmerman took keen interest in her husband's affairs, being interested in his large coal holdings, the Quemahoning Coal Company of which he was president, and his vast cattle ranches in the Dakotas. For many years she was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset, and as long as her health would permit was particularly active in the Woman's Missionary Society. Surviving in addition to her daughter, Miss Sally, is one sister, Miss Minnie B. Snyder, of East Catherine Street, Somerset. The body was removed to the Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset, from which place services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 with interment in the family plot in the Husband Cemetery.
