  ZIMMERMAN

  Myrtle J. (Shaffer) Zimmerman, 73, of Douglassville, Pa., formerly of 
  Sipesville, died Aug. 6, 1999, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 
  3, 1925, in Stoystown, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Jennie 
  (Gindlesberger) Shaffer. Also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth 
  Zimmerman; brothers: Paul, Roy, Fred and Robert. Survived by daughter, Mrs. 
  Wayne (Susan) Stevanus of Douglassville, and three grandchildren. Sister of John 
  Shaffer of Berlin; Bud Shaffer of Canton, Ohio; Donald Shaffer and Verna Boyer, 
  both of Hooversville; Lois Litzinger of Johnstown, and Helen Darr of Meyersdale. 
  Attended the First Church of the Brethren, Pottstown. She was an avid country 
  music fan. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday at the Robert H. Halverson 
  Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Albert 
  G. Valentine officiating. Interment, Casebeer Cemetery. Contributions may be 
  made to First Church of the Brethren, 371 N. York St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
