Zimmerman, 79, of Salisbury died Sept. 24, 1971, in the Veterans Hospital of Altoona. Born on Feb. 11, 1892, in Elk Lick Township a son of John S. Zimmerman and Amanda (Holliday) Zimmerman. Survived by his wife, Mary (Whisler) Zimmerman of Salisbury, three sons, John and Max, both of Salisbury; and Robert of Boynton; one daughter, Mrs. Jean Kemp of Meyersdale; one brother, Pius Zimmerman of Meyersdale RD 1; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Brant of Mentor, Ohio; and Mrs. Mary Bodes of Garrett. Also eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, veteran of World War I having served in Company "C", Salisbury V.F.W. and life-long member of Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department.
