Zimmerman, 79, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Jan. 5, 1979 at High Point Lake. Born July 8, 1899 in Elk-Lick township, a son of the late John and Amanda (Holliday) Zimmerman. Survived by wife, the former Velma Wisler and three sons: Paul of Hyndman; Donald of Meyersdale; and William of Corriganville, Md.; also two daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Sechler and Mrs. Marcella Kimble, both of Meyersdale; also one sister, Mrs. Mary Bodes of Garrett; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of and on the consistory of the St. Paul (Wilhelm) United Church of Christ; retired miner and member of the United Mine Workers. Friends are being received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, until 1 p.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church and lie in state until 2 p.m., time of service, with the Rev. Lloyd E.
