Zimmerman July 31, 1933 December 1, 2006 William P. Zimmerman, 73, of Corriganville, MD died December 1, 2006 at his home. Born July 31, 1933 in St. Paul, a son of the late Pius and Velma (Wisler) Zimmerman. Survived by his widow, Phyllis (Fogle) Zimmerman and these children: Richard Zimmerman, LaVale, MD; Beverly Bennett, Bunkerhill, WV; Pamela Zimmerman- Owen, Morgantown, WV; and six grandchildren. Also survived by these brothers and sisters: Paul, Hyndman; Donald, Dorothy Sechler, and Marcella Kimble, all of Meyersdale. Graduated from Salisbury High School in 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. Retired from Kelley Springfield Tire Co. with 32 years of service. Also worked for Timbrook Pontiac as a buyer and seller for the car lot. Member of the Piney Mountain Sportman Club. Friends were received Monday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns and Pastor John Klink officiating. Interment, Beachdale Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice c/o Linda Green, 920 Seton Dr., Cumberland, MD 21502 for the Patient Supplies or Nursing Education; or the Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, MD 21529.
