   ZOLDEY
   
   Michael John "Jay" Zoldey, 70, of Hooversville, died June 2, 1996, at
   Somerset Hospital.  Born June 8, 1925, in Shade Township, son of Joseph and
   Mary (Ferko) Zoldey.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Grace
   Stiffler; son, David Jay Zoldey; sister, Mary Polsac; brothers, Joe and
   Steve. Survived by these daughters: Mary Ann, married to Robert Birch,
   Hooversville, and Susan, at home.  Grandchildren: Eric and Jason Birch and
   Michele Zoldey, Sisters: Elizabeth Kaminsky, Somerset: Irene Dunleavy,
   Minersville, and Helen Cook, Virginia; borther, William, Stoystown RD 2, and
   sister-in-law, Betty Zoldey, Ohio.  Retired from Bethlehem Steel.  Former
   Somerset County coal miner. World War II Army-Air Force veteran.  Member of
   Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville, and Hooversville VFW.  Family will
   receieve friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
   at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 10 a.m.
   Wedensday, Rev. Gerald L. Myers and Rev. Samuel J. Weible.  Interment, Custer
   Cemetery.
