Born Aug. 27, 1940, in Hollsopple, daughter of Merrill Clark and Alverda (Miller) Clark-Smith. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Raymond, Garfield "Buddy" and Merrill Clark. Survived by her husband of 49 years, William; children, William Jr., married to the former Sandra Anderson, Champlin, Minn.; Annamarie, married to Gregory Ashbrook, Wilbur; Cindy and fiancee, Angelo Rolt, Mount Airy, Md.; grandchildren, William III and wife, Cheryl, Tamara Zoldey, Gregory Jr. and fiancee, Larissa, and Olivia Ashbrook; sisters, Marjorie Saylor, Buffalo, N.Y.; Betty Sample, Johnstown; Delores Brewer, Hooversville; Rubylee Jordan, Warren, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Helen Cook, Churchville, Va.; Betty Zoldey, San Antonio, Texas; and Peggy Clark, Seanor. Ruth Ann was a devout Christian who loved many and was loved by many. A graduate of Conemaugh Township High School, member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Wilbur and Agape Fellowship, Johnstown. Co-founder And coordinator of Hooversville Area Food Pantry, co-founder and secretary of Operation Hope, secretary of the Travis J. Stout Memorial Park, Wilbur and coordinator of Basket of Hope Prison Ministry. "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in: Naked and clothed me, I was sick and you visited me: I was in prison and you came unto me." Matthew 25:34-36. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Wilbur. The Rev. James Hamilton officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
