AMANDA (WAGNER) ZORN MRS.AMANDA ZORN - Mrs. Amanda J. (Wagner) Zorn, widow of the late Edward Zorn, died at the home of her son, Frank E. Zorn, East Liberty street, Berlin, at about 5:30 o'clock last Wednesday evening after an illness of about a year from a complication of diseases incident to advanced years. She was aged 79 years 1 month & 10 days. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Wagner & was born in Shade twp. near Buckstown, March 28th, 1833, where she resided until October 19th, 1854, when she was united in marriage by the Rev. Walter Chalfant to Edward Zorn, going with him to Berlin to live, where she spent the remainder of her days. She lived a beautiful Christian life, being a devoted wife, a loving mother, & a kind neighbor, loving & esteemed by all who knew her. Her husband preceded her to the grave December 3, 1903. She made her home with her son, Frank E. Zorn, since his marriage about twelve years ago. She was the mother of the following children: Huldah, deceased; Emma, wife of William Daubenspeck, of Beaver Falls, Pa.; Margaret, wife of George Bittner of Boynton; Ellen, wife of J.J. Sidle, & Frank E. Zorn, of Berlin, & Janette Mae, deceased. She is survived by twelve grandchildren & four gt-grandchildren. The following sisters, & brothers also survive: Mrs. Kate Bender, of Hooversville; Mrs. Jacob Powell, of Shade twp & Mrs. Alexander Berkebile, of Berlin. The funeral took place Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, with services at the home of her pastor, Rev. P.L. Berkey. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Somerset Democrat, May 5, 1912
