ZORN George Statler Zorn, 75, of Vandergrift, died suddenly in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Monday, March 22. He had a heart attack a week previous to his death and was removed to a St. Petersburg hospital where he passed away. He was born in Berlin, the son of Jacob J. Zorn and Jennie D. (Statler) Zorn. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith (Link) Zorn, and these sisters: Mrs. Jacob B. Schrock, Mrs. Allen C. Miller and Mrs. George E. Walbert. A brother, Robert Zorn, preceded him in death a year ago. He lived for 50 years in Vandergrift where he was superintendent of the maintenance department of the U.S. Steel corporation. He retired five years ago. He was a member of the Berlin I.O.O.F. Lodge. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vandergrift. His body arrived via the B & O Railroad, at Meyersdale, Wednesday evening, and was removed to the Johnson & Son Funeral Home in Berlin, where funeral services were held, Friday, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Clyde Barnes of Vandergrift officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 1, 1948
