Miller, of Somerset County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, are held and firmly bound unto the said Commonwealth, in the sum of One thousand dollars lawful money of Pennsylvania, to be paid to the said Commonwealth. To which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves jointly and severally, for and in the whole, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seal and dated the fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty five. The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bounden Joseph Long, Administrator of all and singular, the goods, chattels, rights and credits which were of Nicholas Long late of Somerset County aforesaid, deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the goods, chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said deceased, at the time of his death, which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Joseph Long or into the hands & possession of any other person or persons for, him & the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registerís Office at Somerset, on or before the 14th day of December next. And the same goods, chattels, rights and credits of the said deceased at the time of his death, which at any time after shall come to the hands and possession of the said Joseph Long or into the hands and possession of any person or persons for him do well and truly administer according to law. And further do make or cause to be made a true and just account, calculation and reckoning of the said Administration, on or before the 14th day of November next ensuing, and all the rest and residue of the said goods, chattels & credits, which shall be found remaining on the said Administrators account, the same being first examined and allowed of by the Orphansí Court of said county, shall deliver and pay according to the directions of the said Orphansí Court, & if it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will & Testament was made by the said decíd, and the executor or executors therein named, do exhibit the same into the said Registerís Office making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly, if the within bounden Administrator being thereunto requested, do render & deliver the said letters of Administration approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said Registerís Office, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force. Ogle, Jun., Recorder Know all men by these presents, that I Nathan Long of Elklick Township, Somerset County & State of Pennsylvania, Whereas by an Article of agreement entered into by & between the said Nathan Long & Nicholas Long now deceased, the said Nicholas Long hath agreed to procure on fee title for one hundred & fifty acres of Land in Elklick Township to the said Nathan Long at his own expences & whereas the said Nicholas Long did not in his lifetime procure a Deed for fifty acres of the said Nathan Long for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty eight dollars & eighty one cents to me in hand paid by Joseph Long administrator of the said Nicholas Long deceased at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt is hereby acknowledged have remised, released and quit Claimes and by these presents as release and for ever quit claim unto the said Joseph Long, his heirs, Executors and Administrators of and from the said Deed which was to be executed by the said Nicholas Long decd., & that I am to procure the said deed on my own expemces & of and from all actions, levels, payments, accounts, rekonings, claims & demands whatsoever for or by reason of the said deed for the above mentioned fifty acres of land or of any other cause or thing from the beginning of the world to the day of the date of this presents. In whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the twentieth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.
