I recommend my soul into the hands of God and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner, and as touching such worldly estate wherein it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give, demise, and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath to Catherine my dearly beloved wife the thirds of all my goods and chattles, rights and credits and she shall keep all in her hands which I am in possession of until Henry, my youngest son is of full age, and if she should think proper to dispose of all or any part of the goods and Chattles she can or may do it by way of publick (sic) Sale or otherwise and she is to keep and raise the Children and she shall have the thirds of the profits of the plantation that I am now in possession of. Also I give to my eldest son George Ramsberger a tract of land with a small improvement on the same Lying and situate between the Cramury Run and the South Fork of the Lick Run be the same more or less and tract is to be his full shear (sic) of all my Estate Rail (sic) and personal, and also I give all the rest of my real estate and personal estate what is remaining after the children is raised, to be equally divided amongst my several children hereafter named, John Ramsberger my next eldest son, Charlotte my eldest daughter, and Stephen Ramsberger, Jacob Ramsberger, Elizabeth my youngest daughter, Elias Ramsberger, Henry my youngest son, and my son John Ramsberger is to have over and above his equal share a piece of thick cloath that is in the house to make him a coat jacket and sport coat or the survivor or survivors of them and the heirs of such survivor or survivors equally to be divided between them. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said wife and my son in law Peter Walker of Brothers Valley Township, County and State aforesaid to be executors of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills, Legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last Will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three. His X mark Elias Ramsbarger Signed, Seled (sic) and delivered by the said Elias Ramsbarger as his Last Will and Testament in the presents of- Shaphart Duire Benjamin Griffith Somerset County SS: On the thirtieth day of November Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and three before me Morgan Rhees, Register for the probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in and for the County of Somerset, came Benjamin Griffith, one of the subscribing witnesses to the above instrument in writing and being duly sworn according to law did declare and say that he was personally present and heard and saw Elias Ramsbarger the testator above mentioned, sign, seal, publish, pronounce, and declare the said above instrument in writing as and for his last will and Testament, that at the time of such execution, he the said testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory, according to the best of this deponents knowledge and belief and that he subscribed his name thereto as witness of such execution in the presence of the Testator at his request.
