[or its predecessor] Former Bridgewater Man Dies in Binghamton Adelbert O. Darrow, Prominent Pharmacist in City For Many Years, Succumbs After Operation Adelbert O. Darrow, aged 60 years, of 51 Highland Avenue, Binghamton, died at 8:10 Saturday night, Sept. 10, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in that city, following an operation. Mr. Darrow was born in Bridgewater township, Susquehanna county, an only son of the late Mrs. And Mrs. George A. Darrow. He attended the Montrose public schools and in early manhood went to Binghamton where he was a pharmacist. He is survived by three sons, Carlton, Duane, and Robert, all of Binghamton, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Morrison, of Johnson City. He was a member of Trinity Memorial church, past master of Binghamton Lodge, F. & A. M. and Kalurah Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. Mr. Darrow was appointed executor of his aunt, Miss Nina Merriman's estate, following her death a short time ago. He frequently visited in Montrose and has many friends here who mourn his death. A good citizen and possessing a sturdy character, he was admired by many. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in the Rice Funeral Home, Johnson City. The Rev. Wilson E. Tanner officiating.
