Two years ago while crossing a field near her father's house she was attacked by a large dog from which she happened to escape without receiving any wound of which she was conscious. It is now supposed the animal was mad and the virus penetrated the system through some abrasion of the skin. The Alleghanian, Ebensburg, Pa., Volume 2, Number 33, Thursday, April 4, 1861
