Vogel died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Riverside. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs John Carman of this city; Mrs Lee Blakeslee of New Milford, Mrs Jack Griffis of Montrose; four sons, Stanley Vogel and Edwin Vogel, both of Hallstead, Private Joseph Vogel of Camp Bullis, Tex, and Corp Francis Vogel in the foreign service; a sister. Mrs. Mary Bivins of Brooklyn; two brothers, Morris Vogel of Scranton and Floyd Vogel of Hackettstown, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the O.E. Tuttle Funeral Home, Hallstead, Pa. Funeral arrangements will be made there. Bert Burt, A/K/A Stuart, Stewart Vogel Records indicate that Bert Vogel died on May 19, 1943 in Kirkwood, N.Y. That would be Broome County NY; According to his records, he was born in Easton, Pa. on July 23, 1875, son of James and Rebecca Woolever Vogel. He was 67 years old at the time of death. Mrs Carrie Vogel, of Hallstead, died Tuesday, August 5th 1941, in Binghamton City Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Burt Vogel; four sons, Stanley, Edwin, and Joseph, of Hallstead, and Francis, of Fort Monmouth, N.J.; three daughters, Mrs. John Carmen, of Hallstead; Mrs Lee Blakeslee, of New Milford; Mrs. Jack Griffis, South Montrose, and 13 grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Tuttle Funeral Home on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.The Rev. Walter H. Proff offeciated. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
