I, Joseph Addison, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following. That is to say: First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Addison the full entire use, occupancy, and control of the farm on which I now reside and have resided for the last thirty six years, containing one hundred and two acres with an allowance for roads, to her own use, benefit and behalf during her natural life and at her decease, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Addison the north half part of my messuage or tenement on which I now reside which is to be one equal moiety or half part of said farm containing one hundred and two acres with allowance for roads as above stated which I give and bequeath to my son Henry Addison, his heirs and assigns for ever at and after the decease of my beloved wife Sarah and I give and bequeath to my son Robert Addison the south half part of my messuage or tenement on which I now reside as above stated to be one equal moiety or half part of said lot of land containing one hundred two acres with allowance for roads from and after the decease of my beloved wife Sarah which I give and bequeath to my son Robert, his heirs and assigns for ever. I give and bequeath to my son Robert and Henry all my farming utensils and all the stock which I own and shall be on the farm at the time of my decease consisting of horses, oxen, cows, sheep and hogs, and all the movables and household property of any kind whatsoever to hold to them the said Robert and Henry, their heirs and assigns subject to the payment of the following sums of money to my daughters the sum of fifty dollars each which I will and order to be paid each of my daughters six months after my decease and I do will and grant to my sons Robert and Henry the rights subject to the choice of my son Robert and Henry to advance any sum in part payment or in full payment of the said legacies of fifty dollars during my life time to any or all of my said daughters for their benefit or advancement in the world, and the sum or sums so advanced and paid by my sons Robert and Henry or either of them so paid shall be allowed and credited to the son or sons so paying to them or any of them, my said daughters. I do will and bequeath as above generally stated fifty dollars to Elizabeth wife of James Fairbrother to be paid by my sons Robert and Henry equally six month after my decease also the sum of fifty dollars to my daughter Mary wife of Jacob Kimbal to be paid by my sons Robert and Henry six months after my decease also the sum of fifty dollars to my daughter Nancy wife of A. M. Fowler six months after my decease, also to my daughter Jane wife of Pailey Tilbury the sum of fifty dollars six months after my decease. Also the sum of fifty dollars to my daughter Sarah wife of John B. Willson to be paid six months after my decease. And also the sum of fifty dollars to my youngest daughter Hester to be paid six months after my decease and the said Hester has and is to be supported and maintained by my son Henry Addison as long as she the said Hester shall choose to live with him the said Henry. I do will and bequeath to my sons John Addison and Isaac Addison the sum of five dollars each. That is to say five dollars to be paid by my sons Robert and Henry to John Addison and also the sum of five dollars to Isaac Addison six months after my decease in full of all their right interest into and out of my property both real and personal. I do will and order that my sons Robert and Henry shall pay all my honest debts, and I do will and bequeath to my son Robert and Henry all ( ) and sums of money due me on note book account and all claims and demands of all and every nature and kind whatsoever. And finally that no misconstruction or misunderstanding shall happen or arise. I will and direct that my sons Robert and Henry at the decease of my beloved wife Sarah shall have the farm with all my property both real and personal and ( ) all debts due me the said Joseph Addison, and that the said Robert and Henry are to pay all my just and honest debts and the said Robert and Henry are to pay each of my daughters as above willed and directed the said (sum) of fifty dollars to each of my said daughters and also to pay to my son Isaac and John five dollars each six months after my decease. And finally I appoint my beloved wife Sarah Executrix with Calvin Leet Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me made. Brown Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in and for said county personally came Amos Heath and Samuel T. Lee the subscribing Witnesses to the forgoing Will who being duly sworn doth dispose and say that they were present and saw and heard Joseph Addison sign seal and publish ( ) and declare the foregoing instrument of Writing as and for his testament and last will. And that at the time of so doing he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.
