BROWN Register for the probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in & for said county personally appeared Harvey GRIFFING and Ezra CROFUT who after being duly Sworn according to law doth say that they were present and did see and hear the written named testator Daniel CROFUT sign seal publish pronounce and declare the written instrument in writing and for his last will and testament and that at the time of his so doing he was of a perfect sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief and that they Each signed their names thereto as witnesses at the Same by request of the said testator. BROWN Register } Ezra CROFUT Last Will & Testament } of } Daniel CROFUT } Know all men by these presents that I, Daniel CROFUT of the Township of New Milford in the County of Susquehanna and State of Pennsylvania, Farmer, considering the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make declare and publish this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Matilda all my household furniture during her life which after her decease is to be under the care of my sister Amy until my children shall become of age at which time if their mother has deceased it is to be Equally divided amongst them. My moveable property is to be sold and the avail thereof to be applied towards paying my debts. Excepting therefrom two heifers which are to be reserved for the use of my wife. My farm I give unto my wife to occupy and use during her life for the support of herself and my children which is to be equally divided among them after their mothers decease. I do nominate and appoint Albert MOSS of New Milford to be the Executors of this my last will and testament contained on one sheet of paper subscribed my name and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty one. Whereupon Letters of administration were in due form of law granted unto Mrs. Matilda CROFUT and Zipron COBB with copy of the will annexed, appointing them administrators of all and singular the goods & chattles rights and credits that were of the said Daniel CROFUT deceased. They having filed their bond to the commonwealth with Harvey GRIFFING and Henry COBB as their sureties, conditioned as the law directs. And also having first been duly sworn according to law.
