Larabee one of the subscribing witnesses to the said instrument of writing who being duly sworn according to law did say that he was present and saw and heard the said Benjamin Doughty sign seal, publish pronounce and declare the said instrument of writing as and for his last Wil and Tesatement and that at the time of his so doing he was of sound and disposing mnd and memory to the best of his knowledge and belief sworn and subscribed before me the 27 day of Mar A.D. 1872 J R Lyons Register M. J. Larrabee And now to wit Jan 13th 1873 came H. A. Tingley the other subscribing witness to said instrument of writing and on being duly sworn doth testify to the same facts as set forth in the above affidavit of M. J. Larrabee Whereupon the said instrument of writing was admitted to probate as duly proven to be the last Will and Testament of Benjamin Doughty deceased and is in the records following: I BENJAMIN DOUGHTY of Jackson township in the County of Susquehanna and State of Pennsylania being of sound mind memory and understading do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, AAnd first I direct that my body be decently interred in the Cemetery known as the Washburn Family burying ground beside my wife and daughter according to the rites and ceremonies of the M.E. Church and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life. As to such estate as it hath pleased God to interest me with I dispose of the same as follows, viz; I give and bequeath to my beloved wife RACHEL DOUGHTY the sum of Five hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter JANE STODDARD wife of CURTIS STODDARD the sum of ten dollars. I give and bequeath to my daughter ABIGAIL WASHBOURN Wife of DEXTER WASHBOURN, the sum of two dollars, I give and bequeath to my son ADELMORE DOUGHTY the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, I give and bequeath to my son WILLIAM DOUGHTY the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars. The above sums to be paid to them respectively in one year after my decease. All the rest and residue of my estate real, person and mixed, of which I shall die seized or possessed or to which I shall be entitled to at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath to my younger son BENJAMIN W. DOUGHTY to have and to hold the same to his heirs and assigns forever, And I do nominate constitute and appoint my said son BENJAMIN W. DOUGHTY and AMASA NORRIS Executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I Benjamin Doughty the Testator have to this my last will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this seventh day of September A.
