M. Harding Decd Now June 20th A.D. 1894 was presented for Probate an Instrument of Writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of J. M. Harding late of the Township of Harford in said County deceased and at the same time came Jennie L. Brainerd one of the subscribing witnesses to the said Instrument of Writing who being duly sword according to law did say that she was present and saw and heard the said J. M. Harding sign, seal present and saw and heard the said J. M. Harding sign, seal publish pronounce, and declare the said Instrument of Writing as and for his last last will and Testament and at the time of his doing he was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of her knowledge and belief: also that Candace M. Read the other subscribing witness is my mother is now an invalid and not able to leave her home for has she been able to leave her home for the past five years, being confined to her bed the most of the time: that she the said Candace Read signed the said Instrument of Writing as a subscribing witness in my presence and her signature thereto is feminine that it is my judgment that she will never be able to leave her present place of residence and for such reason she will not be able to be sworn as such subscribing witness. Also came C. E. Brainerd who also being duly sworn according to law say so that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of Candace M. Read one of the witnesses to the said Instrument of Writing and that said signature to said Instrument of Writing is genuine and in the handwriting of the said Candace M. Read: that said Candace M. Read is an invalid and not able to leave herhome and to his best judgment will never be able to leave her home for any business purposes and that he the said C. E. Brainerd has no personal interest in the Probate of the said Instrument of Writing: Whereupon the said Instrument of Writing was admitted to Probate as fully proven to be the last Will and Testament of J. M. Harding and in words following Know all men by these presents that I Joel M. Harding of the Township of Harford, County of Susquehanna and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me at any time heretoforemade. Fist I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid and satisfied. Item, I give devise and bequeath to my son Park A. Harding all my property real personal and mixed absolutely. I appoint my son Park A. Harding to be my executor of this my will. Witness my hand and seal to this my last Will and Testament this 3rd day of March 1892. J. M.
