Pg. 147 Last Will & Testament of David Newman In the matter of Probate of Will of David Newman, Deceased And now to Wit: June 11th 1853 Samuel W. Truesdell presented an instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of David Newman of Great Bend township in the County of Susquehanna, deceased for probate, and produced Samuel W. Truesdell and Edward Carlisle subscribing witnesses to said instrument, who after being duly sworn according to law, say that they were present at the execution of and did see and hear the testator, therein named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the said instrument as and for his testament and last Will and that at the time of his so doing he was of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their observation and belief. Whereupon said instrument or ____writing, is admitted to probate as proven to be the testament and last Will of David Newman late of Great Bend in said County and is in the words following to Wit: Will of David Newman, Dec'd Know all men by their presents, that I David Newman of the township of Great Bend in the County of Susquehanna and state of Pennsylvania being somewhat indisposed, and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and testament in manner and form as follows, to Wit: 1st I will and desire my funeral expences and just debts to be paid out of my personal property by my executor hereafter named. 2d, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Cordelia M. Newman, all my real and personal Estate that I may have at the time of my decease to have and to hold the same in her own right forever. 3d and lastly I do nominate and appoint my friend Henry McKinny my executor of this my last Will and testament to carry out my intentions as above expressed. I, testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand - seal this first day of June 1853. Of Will of David Newman, Deceased And now to Wit: June 11th 1853 letters Testamentary were in due form of law granted to Henry McKinny executor named in the last Will and testament of David Newman late of the township of Great Bend deceased, upon all and singular the Goods and Chattles that were of said deceased according to Law, he having first been duly sworn to July 9th 1853 filed Inventory amounting to $ 25.63.19. (this is as it appears on document). J. T. Langden, Register. Jan. 21 185__, Executor filed statement of his account in said Estate, which is duly examined ___ advertised for confirmation to by Orphans Court at April Term.
