Raftsman's Journal. (Clearfield, Pa.) February 17, 1858
On the 29th ult., Mr. Elijah Smith, of Elkland, was caught in the gearing of the
Davenport flouring mill, one of bis arms ground to atoms, one leg torn from the
body, and the body horribly mangled. He died in about an hour.
