The Agitator.: (Wellsborough, Tioga County, Pa.) October 11, 1865
Fatal Accident. 
Mr. Samuel Rogers, an old and respectable citizen of Covington township, was
instantly killed one day last week while assisting Mr. Philip Wetmore in building a
house. Mr. Rogers was holding up a joist by means of a strip of board while it was
being fitted to its place, when the joist fell, striking him on the temple. He was
buried on Thursday.
