(Pittsburgh, Pa.): June 08, 1864 Died on Sabbath evening, May 15th at the residence of his parents, in Mansfield, Pa., 1st Lieut. Will. A. Glass, of the Sixth United States Colored Troops, in the 23d year of his age. Lieut. Glass enlisted as a private in the Pittsburgh Rifles, Co. A, 9th Reg't. Pa. Res., and was with that regiment in their various campaigns and battles till September 14th, 1863, when he received his commission and was transferred to the Sixth United States Colored Troops. He died from the effects of a disease of the lungs, contracted by exposure to a drenching rain, while out on a reconnoitering expedition toward Richmond, about the 1st of March...
