The deceased was one of the oldest settlers in this County, having moved into Sullivan as early as 1807, where he continued to reside to the time of his death. He was an honored member of the Baptist Church, a good neighbor, beloved and respected by all who know him. He was accidentally killed by falling from a load of hay. He died almost instantly.
