We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. 28 March 1870 Archibald McPherson DEED to John Troxell This Indenture made the twenty-eight day of March In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy between Archibald McPherson of Union Township County of Union and State of Pennsylvania and Louisa McPherson his wife of the first part and John Troxell of Snyder County the State of aforesaid of the other part witness that the said Archibald McPherson & Louisa McPherson his wife for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars lawful moneys of the United states of America unto them well and duly paid by the said John Troxell at and before the sealing and delivery of this presents ????????? is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained, sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell alienee, ???????? lease and confirm unto the said John Troxell his heirs assigns. All that track of land being a part of a tractof land late of ??????? deceased, bounded and described as follows: commencing at a stone line of land of Kerry Gibson south 25 ? degrees West eight perches and North to a stone house by land of Joseph Benst North 69 ? degrees West four perches to a stone thence South 69 ? degrees East 5 perches and seventy one degrees to a stone house thence North 7 ? degrees West eleven purchase and unto a stone. Thence to the land of M. Silverwood South 71 ? degrees East twenty three perches and 7/10 to a stone. Containing one acre and fifteen perches. It being part of a tract of land situated in Union Township Union County containing eighty acres more or less of which to Levnia McPherson Deed seized and which by virtue of delivers investment court grant from David Crof assigns of Jane Clark, late Jane McPherson, sons William A. Richard, Archibald McPherson, Milton McPherson and James McPherson became vested in the said Joseph Broust and whereas the said Joseph Broust and Sarah his wife by their deed dated 30th day of May AD 1868 did convey and confirm the same unto Louisa McPherson wife of Archibald McPherson the present grantors referenced being the unto had will more f and singular the improvements; ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever there onto belonging or in any wise at appertaining ; in the reversions and remainders rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, rights titles interest property claim and demand whatever of the parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise is however of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof. To have and hold the said described tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and interest so to begin with the appurtenances unto the said John Troxell his heirs and assigns. To and for the only proper use and behoof of the said John Troxell his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Archibald McPherson & Louisa McPherson his wife and their heirs executors and administrators doth by these presents convey grant and agree to and with the said John Troxell his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs and all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted as mentioned and intended so to be with appurtenances unto the said John Troxell his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whensoever lawful claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said party to these presents have hereunto set there hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. Brooks Union County so be it remembered that on the 28th day of March Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy before me J.A.Mertz the justice of the peace appeared the above named Archibald McPherson & Louisa his wife and in due form of law have acknowleged the above indenture to be my act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such and the said Louisa being of full age and separate from her said husband by me privately examined and the full consent of the above deed being by me made known unto her did hereunto declare and say that she did witness and of her own free will and mind sign seal and as her compulsion and deed deliver viz., above indenture written any consideration or appurtenance of her said husband.
