JOSIAH SHRINER.

  On the 23d of February Mr. Josiah Shriner died at his home in 
Lewisburg, Union county, aged 64 years, 8 month and 4 days.  The 
deceased has a number of relatives who reside in the vicinity of 
Roaring Spring.  He was a soldier in the civil war, serving in the nine 
months service and afterward re-enlisting for three years.  He was 
mustered out July 27, 1865.  His widow, one son and four daughters 
survive.
