Will of Sarah Young, Widow: Filed in 1872 following the death of Adam Young: Release of Dower to Adam Young's Administrators: Advise all men by these presents that I, Sarah Young, Widow and relief of Adam Young, late of the Township of Buffalo County of Union and State of Pennsylvania deceased for diverse good causes and considerations and especially for and in consideration of the sum of $2,500 good and lawful money of the United States of America to one in hand by Jacob R. Young and George W. Young, Administrators of the estate of my said husband deceased. viz. Adam Young paid, at and before ensealing and delivery hereof to me the said Sarah Young, widow of the said Adam Young deceased, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, as also, in consideration of the following personal property of my said deceased husband to me delivered in possession by the Administrator of the Estate of my said husband deceased, as follows to wit two cows, two hogs, two tons of hay, nine bushels of wheat, nine bushels of oats, twelve bushels of corn, three beds and looking glass, onesewing machine, one set of dishes, one set of chairs, and one table and wash stand and fixtures, one coal stove, one carpet now, already delivered to me and in my possession and full enjoyment, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge. have remised, released, quit claims, and discharges and by their presents do remise, release, quit claim and forever discharge unto the said Jacob R. Young and George W. Young, administrators as aforesaid and their heirs and assigns, and unto the heirs and assigns of Adam Young, my said husband deceased, and unto any and all persons now in interest or may or shall at any time be interest either directly or indirectly, whensoever all and all manners of dower, and other interest right or title whatsoever, which I, the said Sarah Young, widow of Adam Young as aforesaid deceased, now have, or may, or might should, or of right ought to have or claim of it, to or out of all those, the below mentioned and described messages tenements or tracts of land viz. Also all that certain message tenement or tract of land situated in Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, bounded by the Buffalo creek, land of John Carter, William Robinson, Adam Wagner, and others, containing ten acres and one hundred and fifty inches more or less. Granted to Jacob Young, father of Adam Young, my deceased husband, by William Robinson and Mary, his wife, by their deed bearing date April 10, 1816. Recorded in the office for recording deeds in and for said county of Union in deed book "E", page 606, as by reference will appear and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. Also all that certain messages and tract of woodland situated in the township of West Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, containing 32 acres and 31 inches more or less. Granted to Adam Young, my said husband deceased, by John L. Wright and E his wife, by their deed bearing date April 6, 1839 and recorded in the office for recording deeds in and for said county of Union in deed book "J", pages 449 and 450 as by reference will appears and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. All that certain message tenement or tract of land situated in Kelly Township, Union County, and State of Pennsylvania, bounded on the south by land of Jsuad Morgus, on the east by land of Robert Wilson, on the south by Buffalo Creek, and on the west by lands of Jacob Stollzfus and Christian King, containing sixty and acres more or less, on which are erected a two story brick house, and bunk barn, granted to Adam Young, my said husband deceased by John Grossnow, High Sheriff of Union County, by his Official deed dated May 22, 1861, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. Also all that certain messages tenement or tract of land situated in West Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, adjoining lands of William Steans, Phillip Dieffenderfer, Beneville Spotts, Ian Reed and John Engelhart and perhaps others, containing 84 acres and 102 inches, more or less, conveyed to Adam Young, my said husband deceased, by Henry Holl and Amelia, his wife, by their deed bearing date April 1, 1864. Recorded in the Office for Recording of Deeds in and for the county of Union in deed book "R", Pages 281 & 282 as by reference will appear and every part and parcel thereof with its appurtenances. Also all that certain messages and tract of woodland situated in the Township of West Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, bounded by lands of George Hauck, John Klingman, James Taylor and others, containing nine acres and 145 inches more or less. Granted to Adam Young, my said husband, by Henry Holl and Amelia his wife, by their deed using date April 1,1864. Recorded in the office for recording of deeds in and for the said county in Deed Book "R", Pages 280, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. Also all that certain message tenement and tract of land situated in Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, mentioned by lands of George Heiser, Samuel Baker, and Henry Baker, containing one acre more or less. Granted to Adam Young, deceased, my said husband, by Joseph Voneida and Magdalenah, his wife, by their deed dated March 13, 1868, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. Also all that certain message tenement and tract of land known as the Mansion Tract, situated in Buffalo Township, County, and State aforesaid, bounded by lands of John Baker, William Baker, Brush Valley Road, David Kelley, Samuel Baker and Public Road leading from Brush Valley Road to Vicksburg. Containing 110 acres more or less with the appurtenances of which Jacob Young, father of my deceased husband, Adam Young deceased, died, seized, and of which my said husband, Adam Young, become seized during his life as sole heir of Jacob Young deceased. And every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances and of all other lands tenements, heredetaments of which my said husband Adam Young, may have deed seized, or shall become seized, and also all named of action and actions, said and writs of dower or other actions and right to make distress whatsoever, so that neither I, the said Sarah Young, nor any other person or persons whatsoever for me or in my name, right or stead, any manner of dower or writs of dower, or actions right or title of dower, or other interest, claim or demand whatsoever of or in or to or act of the said above described messages tenements or tracts of land or any of their appurtenances, heredetaments, and premises within mentioned or of or in any part or parcel thereof at any time hereafter, shall or may have, claim of prosecute against the said Jacob R. Young and George W. Young, Administrators as aforesaid, and or against the heirs of my said husband, Adam Young deceased, or their heirs or assigns or representatives in any, and manner shape or form or the heirs or assigns of the said administrators and further, on account of the almighty divine good and valuable consideration as well as in consideration of one dollar to me now in hand paid, as also the receipt and payment of the same I do hereby acknowledge, I do hereby remise, release, quit claim, and forever discharge the said Jacob R. Young and George W. Young, Administrators, as aforesaid of the estate of Adam Young, my deceased husband, their heirs and assigns, and the heirs and assigns of Adam Young deceased, and the executives and administrators of the said Administrators, and of the heirs and assigns of the heirs of Adam Young, deceased, and from all my right, title and claim to one these of the funeral or omission in real (whatsoever) property of the said Adam Young deceased, as his widow, and of and from all claims, right or title I may have to the benefit of, ? hundred dollars for the use of myself and family under the provisions of the Act of Assembly approved April 14, 1851, or any other act of assembly or common Law right, and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts, reckonings, claims, and demands whatsoever for or by reason thereof or of any other act, matter, cause or thing, whatsoever from the beginning of the world to the day of the date of these presents. Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of S. W. Himmelreich, J. A. Kelly, Union County, SS. Before me the subscriber and of the Justice of the Peace in and for the said county of Union, personally came the above mentioned Sarah Young, who in due the of law acknowledged.
